Mike Hadley and Chris Gaston Featured in College Savings Foundation’s Annual Conference

On March 4, 2026, Mike Hadley, Partner, and Chris Gaston, Principal, Director of Government Relations, both of Davis & Harman LLP, participated on a panel at the College Savings Foundation’s (CSF) 2026 annual conference.
The session, entitled, “The Current Legislative and Political Landscape” discussed recent legislation impacting 529 plans, including increased flexibility for distributions for post-secondary credential programs, and recent developments on Trump child savings accounts.  The panel discussed legislative proposals that could affect education savings, and the likelihood of tax legislation in 2026.  Finally, the panel also discussed CSF’s regular Capitol Hill visits to educated policy makers about the value of 529 programs. 
Hadley and Gaston were joined by Leslie Crudele, Government Relations Director, Commonwealth Savers Plan, and co-chair of CSF’s Legislative, Legal, and Regulatory Affairs committee. Davis & Harman supports CSF’s efforts in Washington and has for many years.
