The law firm of Davis & Harman LLP was founded in 1985 to provide federal tax counseling, planning, and Washington legislative services. Our clients are financial institutions, trade associations, and large corporations, both public and private. We have significant experience advising clients on life insurance products and retirement savings vehicles, corporate tax matters, ERISA, and employee benefit arrangements. We also advise on the treatment of tax-exempt organizations, subchapter L issues, international matters, low-income housing incentives, aviation-related tax issues, employment and excise taxes. We help our clients develop both regulatory and legislative solutions. We advocate for clients with Congress, at the Treasury Department, the Internal Revenue Service, the Department of Labor and other Federal government agencies.
