Joel works primarily with large insurance companies on taxation, insurance law and employee benefits.
Joel received his JD, with High Honors, from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2008, where he was an Articles and Notes Editor for the North Carolina Banking Institute Journal and was elected to the Order of the Coif. He received dual degrees from the University of North Carolina in 2004—a BS in Business Administration and a BA in Political Science, both with Highest Distinction. Joel was raised in Texas and North Carolina and has traveled extensively in Europe and Asia.
